Talent: Roger K. Burton, Costume designer
The Film, TV, Commercial and many other forms of creative industry productions are waking up to the call for better representation within the workforce. A truer reflection of the society that watches their made products and entertainment.
It is apt that we finally are able to share the Guinness commercial, Directed by Jake Nava, Produced by Cherry Studios which was all shot here in London. A great job on costume design by our client Roger K. Burton.
The sixty second commercial tells the story of music producer and talent scout John Hammond (who discovered Billie Holiday and Aretha Franklin, to name a few). The spot is narrated by actor Danny Glover and focuses on Hammond’s radio show. It was here that he motivated and launched an unprecedented era of Jazz when black artists were refused air time across the USA. The soundtrack features sing, sing, sing a song made famous by Benny Goodman.
